Meet Josephine, a sixth grader at St. Cecilia School. Josephine’s talent and perseverance have led her to become a three-time First in Math national champion! She dreams of becoming a chemist.

Q: What (besides First in Math!) do you like to do for fun?
A: For fun, I like to read books and currently, I am writing one.

Q: We know you’re really good at First In Math. What, do you think, helps you to succeed?
A: I think that because I’m in Honors Math, my teacher teaches me more things, and if I don’t understand math at home, my dad will help me to succeed.

Q: What is your favorite thing about your school?
A: My favorite thing about school is that I get to talk to my friends during recess.

Q: What is your favorite subject at school? Why? What do you like most about it?
A: My favorite subject at school is math because I like solving problems. The thing that I like most about it is learning new things.

Q: Who is your role model and why do you look up to them?
A: My role model is my father because he is delightful and he helps me with math.

Q: What do you want to be when you grow up?
A: I want to be a chemist when I grow up.

Q: When did you discover that Josephine had a passion for math?
A: In second grade, I discovered that Josephine had a passion for math.

Q: What, do you think, keeps Josephine so motivated to succeed in Math
A: Because she is afraid of failing in math, she tries her best to succeed in Math.

Q: Do you think her school contributes to Josephine’s success? If so, how?
A: Yes, because her school keeps her well educated.

Q: Why do you think it is important for your child(ren) to attend a tuition-based school in Philadelphia?
A: I think it is important for Josephine to attend a tuition-base school in Philadelphia because there is a safe environment.

Q: What are your hopes for your CSFP child(ren)?
A: My hopes for my child is to receive the best education possible.

Q: How does your CSFP scholarship affect your family?
A: The CSFP Scholarship affects my family because it helps my family with finances.

Q: What would you tell others about CSFP?
A: I would tell them that CSFP is a program that helps their children learn safely.
