Executive Director Ina Lipman Testifies in Harrisburg

Sep 15, 2014

On September 15, CSFP Executive Director Ina Lipman testified before the Pennsylvania Education Committee in Harrisburg regarding changes and improvements to two Pennsylvania tax credits programs: the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) and the Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC). Ina advised the Committee of the tremendous impact area business have made through utilization of these tax credits to support CSFP. Together, CSFP and area companies have improved educational outcomes for Philadelphia children from low-income families, and made long-term capital investments in our city’s future work force through utilization of these tax credits.

CSFP was the only Scholarship Organization (SO) in attendance at the hearing. Ina’s insight was of particular importance to the Committee, as CSFP is the largest provider of K-8th grade scholarships in PA, and exemplifies best practices to ensure the true purpose of these programs are fulfilled.
